During my placement working with a few teachers and EAs I received some positive and also some constructive feedback that I am going to remember them and use them to improve myself in my future job.
Let's firs start with the positive, nice and kind ones which I liked them!
Whoever I worked with believed that I am a passionate and positive educator who can influence her students, which I agree. I love this job and I found it really fulfilling, working with students and giving them needed support, specially those with disabilities and disorders who need more support and help. I also got a few constructive feedback that I accepted and appreciated my colleagues for providing me with those feed backs. For example an EA told me that I am too soft and nice and I need to be firmer, specially with students of challenging behavior, in order to help them better correcting their behaviors. I agreed and appreciated her feedback and I think I am going to practice that, to be able to support my students better, rather than spoiling my students.
Another example was, when a kindergarten teacher told me that I give my students too much help and support. I agreed with the teacher and appreciated her comment because our job is to help our students to reach their highest potential and get as independent as possible. I am going to remind myself to step back and let my students try their best and do not help them unless they really need it. Although I am sure it is not going to be easy for me because my personality is a little bit too caring, protective and controlling but, I am going to try my best.
